First year students from all courses will have a chance to explore various courses that the University offers, as the annual Course Fair started today, Sept. 21, at F212.

The program, conducted as an alternative class for all first years taking up FYDP classes, aims to help students choose the right career path by providing information such as job placement opportunities and academic demands for each course.

The Guidance Office also set up different booths which displayed video messages from some of the teachers, program coordinators, and division chairs. More than that, the booths also provided several tips on how to survive the different programs.

All program counsellors also offered their counselling services for students who needed it.

“We hope that this Course Fair will help develop your motivation and appreciation for a particular program,” one of the guidance counsellors said.

The program, which was organized yearly by the Guidance Office in collaboration with the First Year and Development Program (FYDP) Office, will run from September 21-25, 2015.
