School of Education vs Natural Science and Mathematics

The SoE Sharks won against the NSM Falcons, 2-0, in the first game of the Women’s Volleyball events last Sunday. The first set ended in favor of the Lady Sharks, 25 to 16. The Falcons failed to avenge their first set loss, falling again in the second set, 14-25.

School of Nursing vs Computer Studies

The Lady Chameleons used stifling defense against the Lady Panthers to win 2-0 in the following game. Players from the CS cluster had the game in their hands from the very beginning, taking the first set, 25-16. The Panthers tried their best to claw out from the 1-0 hole but were defeated again, ending the second set at 15-25.

Accountancy vs Humanities and Letters

Once again, the Accountancy Griffins soared high as they defeated their counterparts from the Humanites and Letters, 2-0. The Lady Griffins were too much for the Lady Wolves, taking a commanding 25-11 first set win. The Wolves were blown out again in the next set by the Accountancy griffins with a score of 8-25.

Faculty vs School of Education

In a heated battle between current and future teachers, the Faculty Lady Lions struggled to keep the Lady Sharks at bay, but managed to win 2-1. The Sharks had the Faculty by the neck with a 25-15 win in the first set. Determined to bounce back, the Faculty struck and ended the second match, 25-14. In the deciding set, the Lions blew out the Sharks, 25-12.

“Dile namo ni gina-expect kay dugay na jud mi wa kadula,” commented one of the players from the Faculty division.

Business and Management vs Social Sciences

It was a close game between the Lady Vipers and the Lady Dragons. The Vipers dominated the first set with a 25-15 rout. The Dragons, unwanting to accept defeat, chased them during the second set. The two teams tied up at 24-24. The Vipers never let up and snatched the close 26-24 victory from the Dragons, winning the match 2-0.

School of Engineering and Architecture vs School of Nursing

The School of Engineering and Architecture avenged their previous defeat by winning 2-0 against the School of Nursing. The Tigers were in control the entire match, with the first set ending at 25-22. The Panthers, unable to level against the Tigers, lost the second set once more at 10-25.

“The real battle has just begun,” SEA Team Captain Janikris May Pilar said.

Accountancy vs Natural Sciences and Mathematics

The Accountancy Griffins ended the final game of the day with a 2-0 win against the NSM Lady Falcons. The Lady Griffins were never threatened, winning the first round at 25-13. The Falcons were unable to recover and were dominated by the Griffins in the second set, falling 8-25 in the clincher.
