To condemn yesterday’s explosion that killed at least 14 and left dozens injured, Samahan External Vice Pres. Khryzza Pinzon said Samahan Central Board (SCB) will conduct a prayer vigil in the university on Mon, Sept. 5.

Pinzon said the explosion, which occurred within the night market along Roxas Avenue fronting the university Community Center, brought lives to waste, as they have become victims of clashes of bigger entities.

“Naipit ang mga biktima. They do not deserve [what happened] because they are innocent. Wala sila kabalo na mamatay diay sila anang panahuna,” she stated.

According to General Assembly of Class Presidents (GACP) External Vice Pres. Raphil Saguan, the prayer vigil will serve as a stand of the community going against such “acts that generally harm our people.”

“The vigil will help give voice to innocent lives wasted because of acts insensitive of the people’s welfare,” he stressed.

According to Pinzon, a prayer brigade will also be conducted tentatively.
