After missing a podium finish in last year’s tournament, the Business and Management (B&M) Vipers bounced back to claim the championship in the Palarong Atenista 2026 Darts Women.

B&M Vipers’ Bai Almyra Jihan Camsa emerged on top of the competition against Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) Falcons in an epic turnaround to seize the championship.

During the elimination round, B&M Vipers’ Camsa posted a 3-1 win-loss record in Bracket A, tying with Social Sciences (SS) Dragons and NSM Falcons. Meanwhile, the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) Tigers led Bracket B with a clean 3-0 record, followed by Computer Studies (CS) at 2-1.

Advancing to the semifinals, Camsa entered the match with a relaxed approach, earning her a spot in the championship round.

“What helped me the most was my mindset, I didn’t pressure myself or overthink the outcome. Going in with the perspective to just play along, throw naturally, and accept whatever result came out kept me calm and focused under pressure.”

Despite the mounting tension, she maintained her streak before landing the final double checkout against NSM to seal the championship for the B&M Vipers.

“I took a deep breath, focused solely on the board, and let the result take care of itself,” Camsa added.

Camsa also highlighted the challenge of maintaining her mental stamina across multiple matches, particularly in between the semifinals and the championship round.

“Talagang, I kept reminding myself to stay calm, trust my aim, and let the throw happen without forcing it. I took a deep breath, focused solely on the board, and let the result take care of itself,” she shared.

The victory marked a turnaround for the B&M Vipers after missing the women’s darts podium last year, with Camsa also crediting the support of the B&M community and her seniors throughout the competition.

“It feels incredible and deeply fulfilling. Knowing that B&M stood last year, being able to bring home the first-place championship title this year is a proud achievement not just for me, but for the entire B&M cluster who came out to support us,” she said.

NSM Falcons ultimately settled for silver, while SEA Tigers took bronze as CS Chameleons finished in fourth place.

The Palarong Atenista 2026 Darts Women competition was held at the 4th Floor of Martin Hall on September 20.
