In a game of smashing paddles, the Engineering & Architecture (EA) Tigers and Accountancy Cluster (ACC) Griffins roared in victory in the table tennis championships held at 6F Martin Hall last Aug. 14, 2018.

The griffins claimed back-to-back championship titles for  Men’s and Women’s Doubles.

ACC players for Men’s Doubles Frederick Mojado Jr. and Tyron Troy Caldoza shared how they dedicated their 4-0 victory to the cluster.

“Nag practice lang talaga kami [at] pray lang gyud. Nagsalig lang pud mi sa cluster na mahatag nila among mga kailangan,” Mojado cited right after their championship match against the EA Tigers.

Women’s Doubles Acc players RJ Gesulga and Gendy Cay-an managed to claim the two-peat title for the cluster in their match against the Social Science (SS) Dragons.

ACC player Charlette Catulong claimed 4-2 victory in the Women’s Singles match versus the SS Dragons.

EA player Gary Aquino, who was also a former varsity player, claimed 4-0 victory for his cluster in the Men’s Singles  match through a series of smashes against his Griffin opponent.

Aquino expressed how he thought about the best-of-seven championship game.

“It was challenging and may tension in the air,” Aquino shared.

The winning players will be awarded during the close of the three-day Fiesta on Aug 15, 2018.
