Ateneo Grounds — The Campus Ministry Office led the Ateneo Community in praying the rosary and rejoicing the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary last October 7.

Marianita Santos, a campus minister, gave an overview of the foundation of the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.

“Living Rosary” was the feast’s theme in which the “living” rosary – composed of students, staffand faculties from different offices – was held.

Each had an individual part in praying the rosary and had a candle lighted after their prayer.

After which, the Ateneo Community offered flowers to the altar where different images of Mother Mary were placed.

Fr. Daniel McNamara, S.J. blessed these images and gave the final prayer of the rosary.

Philip Santos, director of the Campus Ministry Office ended and thanked the participants of the program.

In gratitude, the Campus Ministry Office prepared a small “salo-salo” for the Ateneo Community to enjoy.

Prior to this, a Holy Mass for the Feast was held 12 noon on the same day at the University Chapel. Offerings from the mass was for the benefit of the victims of the Zamboanga Crisis.
