The deafening voices of triumph filled the evening air of Martinez Sports Complex as the Humanities and Letters Department was proclaimed the winner of the Jazz Up Your Jeans Contest last August 16.

The proud designers, Joshua Caesar Medroso and Eanna Marie Fernandez, with their models, Iya Rojas and Ace Saquin, took the glory of being this year’s champion for the said contest.

The Accountancy Department seized the first runner-up spot while the School of Education took the second.

With the theme, “Inang Maria, Gabay Ka sa Paghubog ng Mabuting Pinuno Para sa Bayan”, the participants of the Jazz up Your Jeans unleashed their fierce creativity as their jeans mirrored their understanding about the theme. The designing of jeans started a day before the judgment at rooms F200 and F201.

Each department had two representatives with two pairs of jeans that have to be designed.

With a sprinkle of glitters, a splash and stroke of fabric paint, the dull and ordinary jeans noticeably transformed into an eye-catching and a must-have one.

The jeans were judged based on its style and creativity, design, color combination, originality and over-all impact.
