January 12, 2015 – The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) presented the candidates for the upcoming SAMAHAN Central Board (SCB) elections in a program entitled “Launching of Candidates for the SCB Elections 2015” at the Roxas Grounds yesterday during the activity period.

“This is the very start of the election activity where students can know and assess the candidates, and at the same time for the candidates to prove why they should be voted for,” said Atty. Edmund Cyril Galvez of the Office of Student Affairs in his opening remarks.

The event aimed to introduce the official candidates for the upcoming SCB elections to the student body. One minute and thirty seconds were given to the each candidate to introduce themselves, state their platforms, sentiments and ideas.

The event ended with a reminder from the COMELEC about upcoming events: the presidential debate on January 26 at the Roxas Grounds; Miting de Avance on January 28 at the Roxas Grounds; and the SCB Elections on January 29-31 at the Thibault Grounds.
