The Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), along with other universities and colleges, showcased their offered academic programs and featured facilities through virtual presentations at the University Fair 4.0 held at the SM City Davao Annex. The said event opened last July 7 and will end on July 9.

This year’s exhibit featured the 360 Virtual Reality (VR) tour to attract prospective students and parents of the students.

The exhibit featured the all the academic institutional departments of the university such as the grade school, the junior high school, the senior high school, the college level and the graduate school.

Institutional Communications and Promotions Office (iCommP) head Bernie Jereza said that it also presented the facilities of the Ateneo campuses.

“[The VR tour shows] all the beautiful places inside the two campuses of the university – the Matina campus, and the Jacinto Campus,” he stated

The 360 VR is open for all of those who want to experience Ateneo.

The event was received well by many of the participants. Davao City National High School Senior high school student Brix Failma said that he enjoyed the virtual experience.

“Nice kaayo ang facilities sa Ateneo. Encouraging jud. Ilado pud kaayo siya when it comes to education,” he said.

Also, in accordance with the university’s Ecoteneo platform, the school’s booth did not use tarpaulins for decorations.

“We’re following the Ecoteneo drive. In all of the booths here, we are the only school without any tarpaulins. We are using recycled materials for our seal, and the letters [in the booth], and we’re the only university using the video wall in replacement for the tarpaulins,” Jereza said.

On the first day of the fair, students from AdDU hosted a small program featuring the school. Freebies and handouts were given out in the booth.
