The long wait is over as Ateneo Business Center (ABC) finally had its grand opening last Monday at F100 Claveria Street, Davao City.
The Business Center was created in the desire to put the university’s Entrepreneurship students to action and fully immerse students in entrepreneurship.
According to Entrepreneurship Department Chair Jess E. Delgado, it will help the students develop entrepreneurial skills and tactical mindset by offering innovative and experiential learning opportunities.
“It is always the desire of the school to put the students into action and that is basically the thrust of this Business Center. We want the students to apply what they have learned in class and objectify them through this,” said Delgado.
ABC is divided into three sections: The Hub, The Cup and The Box.
The Hub is composed of Captain Melon, Boyd’s All Rice, Sub Xpress, Choco Morez, Go Milk, and Dairy Royale.
The Box is comprised of Stay Blue, Animars, Metanoia, Petcharms and Belle Perfumes.
The Cup, on the other hand, caters University Hue Café.
Trixee Gaceta, a fourth year Entrepreneur student, is one of the people behind Go Milk. They sell goat’s milk with flavors choco, cappuccino and melon. This is actually a first in Davao.
“The Business center is not just a good avenue for us to actualize our learnings in class but also to create new ideas and products,” she said.
ABC is not just exclusive to Ateneo’s Entrepreneurship students but also to all schools.
