Ateneo de Davao University held a Pre-Disaster Science Forum to advocate Climate Change awareness at the Finster Auditorium.

Fr. Daniel McNamara S.J, Gemma Narisma of the Manila Observatory, Lourdes Simpol of Tropical Institute of the University and Leah Vidal of the Institute of Anthropology of AdDU led the audiences in sharing their knowledge with the different issues that concerns the environment today.

The forum revolved around the discussion of the scientific element of disasters, especially tropical cyclones in the country, and Climate Change as well.

The effect of the disasters and Climate Change to the society was also discussed in the forum.

“I hope this forum will be able to help each and every one to understand this pressing issue on climate change,” Lourdesita Sobrevega-Chan, University Research Council head, said.
