Ateneo de Davao University’s Argee Gumafelix and Jurilex Maglinte placed first and tenth, respectively, on the first Psychometrician Licensure Examination held last October 28-29.

Of the 3,292 Psychology graduates who took the said licensure examination, only 1,290 passed, yielding a national passing rate of 39.31 %. Aside from Gumafelix and Maglinte who topped the exam, 23 out of the 40 exam takers from AdDU passed, generating a passing rate of 54.76%.

Aside from the success in the Psychometrician Licensure Examination, Ateneo de Davao University graduates also excelled in the Psychologist Licensure Examination, which was held last October 26-27.

35 out of 53 takers passed, yielding a national passing rate of 66.04%. Of those numbers, four out of five takers from the university passed, resulting to a passing rate of 80%.

This is the first licensure examination for Psychometricians and Psychologists since the enactment of R.A. 10029, also known as the Philippine Psychology Act of 2009. The Psychometrician Licensure Examination are for holders of at least a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and the Psychologist Licensure Examination are for holders of at least a Master’s degree in Psychology and has undergone a minimum of 200 hours of supervised practicum/internship/clinical experience.
