Furnished with strength, fearlessness, and a lot of roaring energy, the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) Tigers has once again pounced the overall championship title for the fourth time.

Ever since the SEA won the overall title in the Ateneo Fiesta 2019, the cluster had clung to it like prey, resulting to a 4-peat championship streak.

“More than the pressure, more than the name of the streak, it’s always the SEA who is always motivating me,” Jorlet Ogayan, SEA’s cluster representative, told Atenews after being asked about her motivation despite pressure from a 4-peat victory title.

Ogayan also mentioned the struggles her cluster has undergone throughout the event.

“We have encountered challenges such as the screening processes and the lack of participants. Although, it’s ironic for our population, sometimes we have to find the best, and we couldn’t find it. And then later on, we found everyone.”

She continued to highlight that the struggles conquered were not managed through an individual effort, but were achieved through the entire cluster’s teamwork.

“I can say that I cannot manage everything alone. So I have my 40 EASEC officers to get that championship title and together with 1,800 students who made it here,” she added.

For every event held during the 74th Ateneo Fiesta, the Tigers consistently topped the events, displaying that the cluster is underpinned by multifaceted individuals.

“SEA is going to rest for a little while to focus on our academics, but rest assured we will have more events to come: Christmaseaya, EA Liga, and EA Fair.” Ogayan said, referring to SEA’s future plans.

On the other hand, the Accountancy (ACC) Griffins, who emerged as the overall 1st runners up, and the Social Sciences (SS) Dragons, who bagged the overall 2nd runners up, have fought tenaciously to secure the runner-up positions.

The SEA Tigers also emerged victorious for the Palarong Atenista 2022, with the ACC Griffins as the 1st runners up, and the Business and Management (B&M) Vipers as the 2nd runners up.

The full thread of results for both the Palarong Atenista and Sadya 2022 can be viewed here. The culminating ceremony was live streamed via SAMAHAN’s Facebook Page on August 13.
