Colors, laughter, and excitement filled the Arrupe Hall as representatives from different divisions showcased their creativity during the 68th Ateneo Fiesta Banner Making Competition last August 10.

This year’s theme, ‘Maria kasama natin tungo sa pagbabago, pagkakaisa at kapayapaan ng Mindanao at ng buong bansa’, was the banners’ inspiration.

Third year Education student Kimberly Shayne Cabahug shared her thoughts on the purpose of the event.

“Ang purpose sa banner making I think kay para makita ang insights sa every division about sa gihatag na theme,” she said.

She further elaborated on her experience.

“Since maliit lang ang division namin and minsan lang kung magkita, through this, students from different year levels can create something beautiful and unique that can also represent our identity as one division,” she added.

The banners were revealed during the fiesta’s Opening Ceremony. The results will be announced on Aug. 15 during the Awarding Ceremony.

End the silence of the gagged!
