In light of the celebration of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Campus Ministry Office headed the “Rosary for the Day” and the “Prayer Offering in Honor of Mother Mary” during the celebration of 67th AdDU Fiesta.

According to Wydmarck Kwan of Campus Ministry Office, the conduct of the two activities is supposed to address an important goal.

“The first important goal is to bond us as a University Community through competition, festivities and [the likes]. The second is to promote devotion to our Lady [Blessed Virgin Mary]”, Kwan said.

The Campus Ministry Office led the “Rosary for the day”, a processional activity while praying the holy Rosary, last Friday morning. Students and members of the faculty walked through five stations in the university while praying and holding lighted candles.

“Mas na encourage ko na mag-rosary,” one student exclaimed.

CamMin Office also led “The Prayer Offering in Honor of the Mother Mary” last Saturday morning at the University Chapel. Students and the Campus Ministry members prayed the Rosary based on the sacred Scriptures.

However, Kwan noted the few number of attendees in the two spiritual programs.

“Well it’s something that we should improve on. It’s a sad reality. I don’t know if you notice pud no but even in mass, kunti lang ‘yung nagsisimba. I think parang sad, but I am also hopeful that we can improve on this,” Kwan said.

End the silence of the gagged!
