Overthrowing her opponents with her calculated wits, Daniella Marie Panaligan from the Accountancy Division conquered all four rounds of the Chess Girls tournament during the Day 4 of the Palarong Atenista yesterday at J301, Ateneo de Davao University Jacinto Campus.

Panaligan rounded up with a total of four points from winning by default on the first round and defeating Renneh Mae Asilum of the School of Engineering and Architecture, Daryl Haguyhay of the Faculty, and Yvonne Paula Niones of the Business and Management for the rest of the tournament.

Asilum followed behind Panaligan on first-runner up with a raw score of three points and a Buchholz score of eight and a half.

Haguyhay placed second-runner up with a raw score of three points and a Buchholz score of eight.
