The Business and Management Vipers and Computer Studies Chameleons overpowered their respective opponents in the second day of the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball matches for the Palarong Atenesta 2014 held at the Ateneo Annex Wednesday afternoon.

In women’s division, the Engineering and Architecture Lady Tigers were dominated by the Lady Vipers in the first set of the game with the score of 25-14.

The Vipers started out strong in the second set, going off for a quick six-point lead through powerful spikes from Huertas. The Tigers managed to tie the game at 15-15 a piece.

The continued rally finally brought the game to an end in the favour of Lady Vipers, who came out on top with a score of 25-21

The Men’s division game saw an intense back-and-forth between both participating teams. The Faculty Lions narrowly defeated the Chameleons in the first set of the game with a score of 28 to 26. The close fight continued in the second set through a heated exchange of spikes and blocks, tying the game at 23-23.

The set was concluded with a huge spike from Renz Platon which enabled the Chameleons to push the game to a third set with the score 25-23.

The Chameleons eventually outlasted the Lions in the third set, winning the match with a score of 25-20.

Women’s Division: Vipers defeat Tigers, 25-14, 25-21

Men’s Division: Chameleons defeat Lions: 26-28, 25-23, 25-20
