A Social Sciences blocker provides excellent defense against the Faculty Lady Lions.

The Social Sciences Lady Dragons and the School of Engineering and Architecture Tigers came out on top to claim third place in the bronze medal matches of the 2014 Palarong Atenista Volleyball tournament yesterday afternoon.

The Lady Dragons crushed the Faculty Lady Lions in two consecutive sets, winning 25-17 and 25-21. The two teams were tied at 20-nil during the 2nd set, but the Lady Dragons managed to outpace the Lady Lions in the last few minutes of the game.

On the other hand, the Tigers bested the Accountancy Griffins in a three-set nailbiter, winning 26-24, 18-25, and 25-23.

The first set reached a deuce, but the Tigers managed to win the extra possession. The Griffins tried to catch up, winning against the Tigers 7 points behind in the second set. However, the Tigers pushed for the win in a closely-contested third set, ending the game at 2-1.
