The Our Lady of Assumption Chapel was fully-packed last Thursday, June 15, 2017 as teachers, staff and students came to attend the first Eucharistic celebration of the school year.

The holy mass was presided over by Fr. Joel Tabora, SJ. During the Mass, he urged the mass-goers, especially the students to do well in their respective studies. He also asked the mass-goers to exert effort to search for the truth and to keep on going even if it is difficult.

“Let us study hard to help the needy, to help the poor. Let us work hard to emptying ourselves in love for our God and in love for our neighbor,” he added

Ateneo Religious Organizations’ President Reina Eunice Morales shared that she found the holy mass, especially the homily, enlightening and refreshing.

“Although time was short, the number of people who helped is overwhelming especially with the preparation and the practices of the choir,” Morales said

The incoming Samahan Central Board were also presented and blessed by the priests during the celebration of the Mass.

Alongside Fr. Tabora celebrating the holy mass were Fr. Rene Ocampo, Fr. Denny Toledo, Fr. Danny McNamara, Fr. Ulysses Cabayao and Fr. Archimedes, all from the Society of Jesus.
