The biggest search for the brightest star hit Ateneo once again. The Star Search Season 10 held at the Finster Auditorium last August 15 promised a night of timeless serenades, captivating voices and the birth of a new star. It didn’t disappoint.

Nine singers, each representing their own departments, engaged in an energetic face-off of upbeat songs in the first round. A meaningful presentation of environmental songs followed in the second round and by the quarter of the night, it all boiled down to three singers for the Final Round.

Business and Management’s Rigel Lyra Faith Micolob, Accountancy’s Shaira Rica Opsimar and Humanities and Letters’ Benjamin Bautista, Jr. faced off in the Final Round with their own take of the song Corner of the Sky but the one who rightfully got to own a corner of the sky was the star of the Accountacy Division.

Shaira Rica Opsimar, the 10th Star Search Champion, blew everyone away with her performance. Her superstar number of Fame and refined rendition of Jolina Magdangal’s Hintayin Mo Lang engaged the audience in a roller coaster spectacle of dynamism, emotion and awe. Her being the rightful owner of the 8th Star Search crown was concluded with a delivery of Corner of the Sky. In all her songs, she was a versatile performer and was a pure delight to see on stage.

The night ended with a bang as the stars of each division came together on stage and lit up the night once again with their voices. In that night to remember, each one found their own corner of the sky.
