In front of a capacity crowd at the Roxas Grounds this morning, University President Father Joel E. Tabora, S.J., Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Director Theresa Eliab, and SAMAHAN President Regel Asuero officially opened the 66th Ateneo de Davao University Fiesta through a ribbon cutting ceremony.

In a brief speech, the University President expressed gratitude towards the students for the effort and preparation for this event.

Students from all of the school’s nine divisions rejoiced as Father Tabora finished cutting off the ribbons, officially marking the start of the celebration and festivities of the Fiesta.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, banners showcasing students’ creativity and artistic talents were unveiled at the Finster Building.

The banners were in line with the theme, “Inang Maria, Kasama Natin sa Paglalakbay Tungo sa Pagkakaisa, Kapayapaan, Kaunlaran ng Mindanao at ng Buong Mundo.”
