Holy Cross Davao College (HCDC) triumphed over the Mindanao Peace Games Table Tennis team category while Fr. Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) took control of the singles category held at the 6th floor of Martin building last Thursday, October 26.

In the team category, HCDC racked a total score of 8, securing the championship title while FSUU took first runner up with a score of 7, and XU for second runner up with a 6.

Ronn Sheina Asio of FSUU was hailed as the singles category champion. Allyza Yucada from Xavier University (XU) and Vavika Jozy Supiter from FSUU garnered the second and third places respectively.

Sandra Haganus, team captain of Xavier University shared how MPG taught her to be a better leader and a better person overall.

“Nakatabang gyud siya. Captain man ko ug team. Sa pag gather pa lang sa mga requirements, thorough jud ang pag atiman sa team,” she said.

Five schools competed in the MPG Table Tennis games. Among them were: Holy Cross Davao College (HCDC), Fr. Saturnino Urios University (FSUU), Xavier University (XU), Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), and La Salle University- Ozamis (LSU-Ozamis).
