Despite the drizzly weather and the hectic adding and dropping system, the semester started with the event called, Green Light: Gonna Keep Goin’, during the activity period at the Roxas Open Field.

The program started with a doxology sung by Star Search Season 10 Finalists Faina Feleo and Benjamin Bautista. After the doxology, SAMAHAN President Maureene Ann Villamor delivered her opening remarks.

According to Villamor, Green Light was not just a simple second semester opener, but it was also an environmental advocacy. Ateneans showcased their talents in designing clothes with the use of recyclable materials like plastic bags and newspapers.

Models from Foto Modelo Ateneo Season 2 gave life to the eco-friendly dresses by strutting down the runway together with their respective designers from the Humanities and Letters, School of Engineering and Architecture and from the Computer Studies Department.

Villamor also mentioned about the upcoming opening of the Palarong Atenista, which will be held at the Ateneo de Davao Matina Sport Complex this Saturday at 6 pm. She added that the Palaro will be different this year because the Ateneo Athletics Office and the SAMAHAN are the organizers of the said event.

The event ended with awarding of Starbucks gift certificates to the models, their designers and the raffle draw winners. The SAMAHAN and Smart Communications organized the event.
