For the first time in this school year, first year students gathered in one event.

Initiated by the First Development Program Office last year, the second FYDP day was held at the AdDU Matina campus, July 13, 9 AM to 4 PM.

Hosted by EJ Sumatra and Christine Grace Ruta, the event started with the formal ceremonies.

The FYDP coordinator, Maria Rosario Gaid, delivered an inspiring message for the first years.

“This FYDP Day may become your best day in your life as a first year. This celebration’s mission is to help you establish rapport and camaraderie with other first years. And with the help of God, it hopes to form you with a holistic development,” she said.

Gaid added that, “we should develop ourselves to the fullest but still be mindful of what we do, and say.”

The first years were clustered according to their time schedule. It enabled them to meet other first years.

Followed by the presentation of class banners, the FY students rocked the stage with their cluster cheers. The house rocked even more during the performances of different talents from different sections. They showcased dancing and acoustic singing.

Other exciting activities included were the cool games like “Group Sack Race”, “Carry Mo Ba Ako?” and “Helium Hoop” wherein students built good teamwork and rapport with their teammates.

It was then followed by the announcement of results for the FY Representatives election.

End the silence of the gagged!
