Because they are the youngest and the newest members of the University, the freshmen are usually shy and could not express themselves that much. That is why; they get to elect two First Year Representatives who will be their voice in raising their concerns and issues.

To ensure the efficacy of the election, it will be automated. The freshies will have the chance to vote for their chosen candidates on July 12-13 at the Thibault Grounds and on July 14 at the Matina Sports Complex, where the First Year Day will also take its flight.

The candidates have already been introduced last July 2 and there are seven candidates vying to be the First Year Representatives of the school year.
