The official candidates to the 2017 SAMAHAN Central Board (SCB) general election will be announced this Monday, Jan. 9, during the election launching at the Arrupe Hall, activity period.

According to a list provided by the Ateneo de Davao Commission on Elections (COMELEC), 22 students filed their candidacy today, Jan. 7. COMELEC gave an orientation for the candidates, clarifying the guidelines of the elections. Afterwards, the candidates were given the chance to ask questions and raise their concerns about the rules.

The campaign will officially start this Monday, Jan. 9, at 1:00 PM. The Presidential Debates will take place at the Arrupe Hall on Jan. 16 and the Miting de Avance on Jan. 20. The election proper will be on Jan. 25-27.

The following are the students who filed their candidacy. However, the aspirants included in the list are unofficial until the COMELEC reviews their Certificates of Candidacy and verifies that they have complied with the election requirements. Campaigning for the said candidates is also not allowed until the start of the campaign period.
