With 3 out of 4 sets, the Business and Management Vipers won this year’s Palarong Atenista Finals against the BSA Griffins for the Male Volleyball Division category.

For the first set, the Griffins won, leaving the Vipers with 21 points. During the second and third set, the Vipers made a comeback leaving the Griffins with 17 points in both sets. During the fourth set, the Griffins weren’t able to catch up with the score, and so the Vipers brought home the title of back-to-back champion.

BM team captain Arvin Edcel Escudero, on how he felt about their success, said, “Feels great! Napakita naming yung effort and skills ng team.”

Meanwhile for the Male Basketball Division, the College of Engineering and Architecture Tigers also won the title of the back-to-back champion this year against the Business and Management Vipers, ending the game with the score of 56-60 in a very close fight.

During the first quarter, Vipers took the lead with the score of 16 points, leaving the Tigers in the dust with 12 points.

By the last minute of the second quarter, both teams tied with the score of 22 points. But in the end the Tigers took the lead with 28 points, while the Vipers had 26 points.

As the third quarter ended, the roaring Tigers finished it off with the score of 47 points, 8 points ahead of the Vipers.

On the fourth quarter, the Vipers attempted to make a comeback by making three consecutive shots away from the paint. They almost made it, but still the Tigers brought home the bacon, winning this year’s Palarong Atenista Champion for the Male Basketball Division.
