The BM Lady Vipers had a dominating performance, knocking out the SS Lady Dragons, 44-24, in the semifinals of the Women’s Basketball Tournament, Friday afternoon, at the ADDU-Annex Gym.

Jade Nulla had an outstanding all-around performance for the Lady Vipers with 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Joanna Marie Madrazo added 9 points and three steals.

For the Lady Dragons, Lindzi Mae Garcia was the leading scorer and rebounder for the team with 15 points and six rebounds.

With the Vipers’ semifinal victory, they enter the championship round and face the Accountancy Lady Griffins.

In the men’s semifinal round, the Accountancy Griffins outpaced the SS Dragons and won 78-60.

Neil Taculin had a sensational performance for the Griffins with 19 points on 6/9 field goal shooting, including five three-point shots, while Jvannesic Tarranza added 11 points on 5/9 shooting.

The Griffin’s head coach, Julius Roldan, praised his team’s winning performance against the Dragons.

“Gi-maintain lang dyud namo ang turnovers, tapos puso lang. Gina-take lang namo step-by-step ang each possession para makasure-sure dyud mi,” Roldan said.

“Gi-turn up lang namo ang defense sa laing tao and then, mag-flow lang man ang offense gikan sa defense,” he added.

On the Dragons side, Rene Marte, Jr. had a gutsy performance with 25 points on 8/13 field goal shooting, including four three-point shots. Leo Lasola and Bag Agustin Gonzales each added eight points.

With the Griffins’ semifinal win, they will enter the championship round and face the BM Vipers who won the other finals slot against the EA Tigers.
