List of top 10 passers in the September 2017 Mechanical Engineering Board Exam.

With the average score of 90.1%, Jakal Castillon Suyo of Ateneo de Davao finished with the third highest average score in the September Mechanical Engineering Board Exam.

Graduating with magna cum laude honors, Suyo would also demonstrate great skill even in the application of the theories in his course as he, along with his team, would finish third in the Shell Eco-Marathon Competition in Clark, Pampanga. Their team assembled a prototype engine that runs on gasoline.

SEA (School of Engineering and Architecture) cluster representative Lilibeth Diane Yu shared that she was proud of the achievements garnered by her former colleagues.

“Si kuya Jakal yung isa sa mga ginalook up ko na kuya sa SEA. Sa team blue knights pa lang ng Shell Eco-Marathon makikita mo na kung gaano siya ka responsible and hardworking na tao. He deserves every bit of success that he has attained today,” Yu shared in an interview.

Merel Suyo, his sister, shared that her brother really deserved the recognition he is getting now.

“Proud masyado! 18 years niya din yan pinaghirapan para maachieve yan na place,” she shared.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, School of Engineering and Architecture officer-in-charge, Renyl Barroca shared that Jakal was a fine example of what kind of graduates the school produces.

“We hone our students to be quality graduates,” he added.

Suyo, along with 10 others, were all first time takers of the said test.

The national passing rate for the Mechanical Engineering exam was 68.99%

Billy Ray David Sales

AdDU Electrical Engineering graduate Billy Ray David Sales was rated 90.5% in the Electrical Engineering Board Exam, ranking as the 9th best score announced last September 7.

“Si kuya Billy naman ang masasabi ko lang na its runs in the blood jud ang talino. Looks can be deceiving kasi lingaw sya na tao sa school. Akala mo bugoy-bugoy pero puro A ang grado sa mga major subjects nila,” Yu shared when asked about Sales.

“Both of them served as great inspirations to all of us. For the incoming board exam takers, God Bless mga Ate and Kuya. For those na lumalaban pa sa mga acads nila, konting tiis na lang Tigers!” shared Yu.
