Music, fun and stories of love filled Martin hall, last Aug. 14, during the 68th Ateneo Fiesta Musikahan.

Six bands interpreted six love-themed stories sent by Ateneans in accordance with this year’s theme, “Primetime Pag-ibig.”

Crowds cheered, laughed, and even cried as the stories were told on stage. The stories were entitled “Kahit Konting Pagtingin”, “My Husband’s Lover”, “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo”, “Broken Vow”, “Sana Maulit Muli”, and “Forevermore”.

The ‘mala-primetime’ stories were chosen by the SAMAHAN Communications (SAMAComms), the event organizers, in an earlier call for stories with the hashtag, #DearSAMAComms.

Not only were the audiences entertained by such stories, but they were also serenaded by Atenean bands: Post 21, Bliss, Cheroni, Studio B, Low Key Rhythms, and Salt and Paper.

The audience also joined the games, and a Twitter contest using the hashtag #10WordStory. Prizes were also given to those who participated.

Pilipinas Got Talent Finalist “Next Option” played as a guest band in the said event.

In the end of the event, the band “Studio B” won the People’s Choice Award.

Patrick Abiang, a Civil Engineering student, said that he found this year’s Musikahan fun and entertaining.

“Grabe lingaw kaayo siya. Sa ubang mga events wala ko nag-attend, pero karong musikahan, grabe enjoy kaayo. Wala pa katunga sa event, lingaw na kaayo siya,” he said.

End the silence of the gagged!
