In line with the celebration of the SBG Week, students from the School of Business and Governance (SBG) gathered for the SBG’s culmination night and awarding of this year’s Ambassador of Excellence (AOE) held at 4th floor Martin Hall last January 27.

The winners for the Ambassador of Excellence are James Lumakin of Marketing under the LGBT category, Tifanny Barlis of Finance under the Female category, and Joseph Chew of Accounting Technology under the male category.

“Grabe kaflattering na maapil ang LGBT ani na contest kasi they would have the opportunity to represent themselves kay dili man gud siya (inclusion of LGBT candidates) regularly na ginabuhat especially sa a lot of schools, it’s very flattering kay the fact na ginaaccept ta sa isa ka religious school like Ateneo,” shared 2018 LGBT Ambassador of Excellence, James Lumakin.

The Accounting Technology was hailed as the overall champion for the SBG week 2018, followed by the Human Resource Development and Management as 1st runner-up, and Finance and Marketing as 2nd runner-up.

“For this week the coordination with the JFINEX, the head for this year’s SBG week, was a success and we were able to showcase our talents in different aspects in video making, arts, and also as ambassadors for advocacies. With all the celebration that we had, we truly found out what it is to be an SBG student,” Business and Management Representative Diego Borromeo, said.

The culmination activity also recognized students with highest cumulative QPI. The winners of the flag making contest, battle of the bands, video making contest, and Business Pitch were also awarded.

The night ended with the recap of SBG week 2018 highlights and the announcement of the Entrepreneurship as the host for next year’s SBG week.
